The realm of dreams and dreaming has been relegated into two basic camps over the years. One camp encompasses the occult, non-scientific, dark and often mysterious world of dreams. The majority of people just aren't interested in this route nor does it give them insight into their own lives. The other realm has been the scientific study of dreams with complicated science, laboratory testing, brain mapping, experimentation and difficult "expert-only" dream interpretation techniques. Most people aren't interested in that route either and simply can't apply that work to their own daily lives in any meaningful way.
Researchers and scientists have known for decades that dreams carry a wealth of information, that they are meaningful to the dreamer and, that they are a problem-solving mechanism in the brain.
The mind-body connection is apparent in dream consciousness but this is often overlooked or ignored. The dreaming mind fully connects the conscious and unconscious mind and the body. Therefore, it is a direct feedback mechanism on all thoughts and mind-body relations. Dream imagery will tell you if you're getting sick, if your treatment program is going well, if your toxic romantic relationship is affecting your health, if you're not practicing self-care; it will report back to you all matters of importance in your life.
